Teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg says ‘go vegan’.
The 16-year-old, who is currently in North America after sailing across the Atlantic to speak at a UN climate summit, shared the message in a recent Facebook post.

Thunberg visited vegan icon Esther the Wonder Pig earlier this month, in Campbellville, Canada.
The activist shared an image of herself with Esther, captioning it: “Such a pleasure to finally meet Esther the Wonder Pig and all the other animals and volunteers at the Happily Ever Esther Farm Sanctuary in Ontario!”
She then added two hashtags – one saying ‘animal rescue’, and the other saying: “Go vegan.”
Thunberg and veganism
Thunberg ditched animal products after learning about the impact of animal agriculture on the planet. She has revealed that she then convinced her parents to adopt a mainly plant-based diet.
According to the teenager, she used guilt to encourage her mother and father to change her ways.
Speaking about it in an interview, she said: “I made them feel so guilty…I kept telling them that they were stealing our future and they cannot stand up for human rights while living that lifestyle, so then they decided to make those changes. My dad is vegan, my mom, she tries – she’s 90 percent vegan.”
